Alstec has been awarded a Design Study contract to identify a solution that
will enable waste resins, stored at the Rosyth and Devonport Naval Base
Facilities, to be processed allowing their subsequent transfer and
disposal via the Low Level Waste Repository at Drigg.
The study will identify suitable, existing processing techniques, and
determine the regulatory, cost and programme implications of each, to
allow a preferred method to be established and justified to the regulatory
authorities.
